The Groups feature of TOTA allows you focus on a specific topic (perhaps Archery) with others who share your interests.  You can also use the Groups feature to set up a group for a specific family to share stories and traditions among members.  In this latter situation, you may want to have a "Private" group.

All Groups appear on the Browse Groups page (https://www.tota.world/groups/). However, all requests to join a group are sent to the Group Facilitator, usually the person who started the group (although you can assign Group Facilitator status to an alternate group member if desired). This gives you the power to limit group membership to known members of your family group.

Group members can choose to make their individual profiles Private, which will cause those members to be listed by their usernames instead of their real names.

Discussions that are linked to a specific group can be made private to the members of that group.  This allows group members to discuss family activities (the latest show put on by the grandkids, perhaps, or the details of Uncle Wally and The Unfortunate Firecracker Incident) in a truly private environment.
